Insert a scrolling content window - within a page, like an iFrame (4 posts)

    Hello:

I have read about iFrames, and used them myself in HTML websites, but I was hoping for a simpler solution. I have a page with lots of content, forcing the page to be longer than I want. Is there an easy way to having a scrolling frame window (without me having to create another page with content, and install an iFrame).

Ex. The About page has lots of content. I don't want the page to be longer than 500px, so can I insert the content within a frame window on this page? Or, is my only option to use an iFrame plugin...which forces me to create an additional "About" page with all of the content. Then on the main About page I insert the frame and link it to this additional page. I am trying to avoid having to create an additional page, while still keeping the same iFrame look.

    Help!

    :)

**hope that I did not totally confuse things above.

I'd personally look at jQuery options.

Generally it's done with images, but there are also scripts for dealing with moving content to. Have a look through the results above and see how you get on.

sometimes it works to set the div to a fixed height and width and set the css to 'overflow:scroll'

Thanks for the information. Working with the div attributes sounds like a nice clean way to handle it, and I will try that. I shall also look into the jQuery option too. I appreciate it.
