Inherited a site; need to wrap head around ecommerce page

Hey all, I’ve inherited maintenance of a site that’s fairly customized where I’m more used to the plug-ins handling the dynamic properties of a WP install.
What I’m trying to deduce is where the ‘rubber hits the road’ with the functionality & insertion of this custom post type (that’s what I think it is)
The people at the company also say once every week or so, this just re-routes to the homepage and are at a loss at why it may… hosting is Yahoo (yeah, I know)
Any help identifying how it’s hooked up and in is welcome, if not just a resource where I can go to read into it.
It’s linked to PayPal somehow as well.
