I've been hit with this hack ... does anyone have any info on this yet?
I have searched and searched some more, but I can't find anything as far as a comprehensive fix is concerned.

As far as I'm aware, this hack is not WordPress specific. I'm also pretty sure that Media Temple have issued some updates on the problem.

Posted 1 year ago #I host with mediatemple and have also been hit - three of the blogs I host there have been hit, having the JohnnyA user added. I'm busy backing up the compromised sites using FTP software, and have backed the databases up already. I use SiteVault to make regular backups, but have never used it to restore a site and I'm *very* wary of using it. I liked the look of it as it backs up the FTP files and the database in one handy spot at the same time.
Speaking to the MT guy this morning he pointed me to a page suggesting a total clean reinstall - ouch :/
My sites are on 2.9.2 - I didn't fancy going to a first x.0 release.
