I have a temporary index.html page in place so that normal visitors will see a holding page and not go to the wordpress index (.php), however I’d still like people who go to /index.php to see the wordpress site but if they do so at the moment it takes them back to index.html

Is there any way I cant stop this from happening?

Assuming noone else is registered and logged into the site you could use a simple…

if user not logged in > redirect…

I can make something for you…

If you have registred users then i’ll need to know something specific to your user account to not redirect you to… such as being the only admin etc…
