Ok, so i made a page named “Home” and set the URL to be v3.capitolcleaningok.com/index.php/

Now when I click view page, I go to v3.capitolcleaningok.com as expected, but the page does not display my wordpress page. It displays a message from my hosting company about the dns servers updating over the next few days. I purchased the domain about 2 weeks ago and it is still up and not displaying wordpress stuff so I think wordpress is not writing correctly to index.php. Normally it takes a week at the most for my domains to update. It has never taken this long.

Any help getting a page to write to the root directory of a subdirectory?

It sounds like your DNS nameservers are not pointing to the correct location.

You need to make sure the nameservers from the domain registration are pointing to the nameservers required by the hosting account.

i don’t think that is it because the name servers are the same as the original site…capitolcleaningok.com. They didn’t change…I just added a subdomain and installed wp on the subdomain.

Second, I can see all the other pages that I built. If the page has an ending like \about-us\ then i can see it, but if it points to root of the subdomain, then I get the page from my hosting company when I try to view it.
