   Hi there, I would like to know whether it is possible and how to, place the index file in the root and all the wordpress files into a folder and to have it working, please?

   so the url is domain.com/blog/index.php

   and the index.php is the frontpage to your blog with the WordPress files within the blog folder

   Is this possible to set-up, please?

   I'm confused.

   You want the wordpress files in a folder called blog, and you want users to visit your blog at http://sample.com?
