Increasing the length of the URL for comments

why not use post slug?
its there for a reason…

Her problem has nothing to do with the post slug.
The URI limit is with comment URI’s not post permalinks.

the idea is use post slugs for future posts.
dont render the old links dead…

cutting post uri to digestable length!

this post used post slug as the URI generated is diff from post header:
i really cannot afford an apple for another 800 months
which would have made the URI as:
http://blog.sushubh.com/archives/2004/03/19/i-really-cannot-afford-an-apple-for-another-800 months/
