A link to your site would help, so that we can see what you mean and look at the HTML/CSS.
However, in general the easiest thing to do is check out the element in Firebug to find out what style rule is determining the style you are interested in. Once you know that, you can make the necessary alteration(s) to your style sheet: hopefully in a child theme if it’s at all possible.

Hi,
This is a link to the site I am creating.
http://www.0324221.mainproject.student.cdi.ul.ie/
Thank you.
Try adding:
.entry p {
line-height:1.5em
}
to the bottom of style.css.
You also seem to have a problem with your search box. In FF, at least, it obscures a part of the main navigation menu.

I also had/have much trouble with spacing. I have read several coding ways as a fix. The only ones that worked for me was <p></p> (One line), <p> </p>(two lines). I finally started to think differently about the problem, and decided to write my paragraphs and such into the html side, not using the visual side, but for a couple media pics. Which does work perfectly, even into facebook notes, my real objective. So I guess use wordpress as the opposite, html as writing, and then visual rarely at the end (media does just write a bunch of code).
I searched for days and my above answer really fell short of what I have found. HTML tab is pretty correct, though.
Example of WordPress Correct with space and facebook notes.
PERFECT! 🙂 (CSS + HTML), Hey it works, whatever.
The real answer is “<span><span/>” with “nbsp”
<span> <!—connects with no space “title text”, line break, name date—->
title text
</span>by John Doe October 9, 2011 at 2:39pm
nbsp <!—Spacers—>
nbsp (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-do-you-shorten-page?replies=2)(explains nbsp)
for a picture
<span> (span on top of pic)
<img src=”.jpg?w=300″ alt=”” title=”wordpress To Facebook” width=”300″ height=”168″ class=”alignnone size-medium wp-image-299″ />
Title text
</span>by name date, (John Doe)on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:39pm
(It’s great facebook notes are exactly the same as the blog post)
