There are a few incorrect translations in the French language file that I have included with my installation of wordpress. Is this actually a problem with the language file, or is it the widgets, or what? I have found problems in the core wording (for example, I was told that it should be mots-clés and not mots-clefs for tags), but also in widgets.
On a potentially related note, is it possible to edit any items (words used in widgets, wordpress key words, etc.) from somewhere?
The french language file that you have included.. is it a plugin?

HI RichardWPG,
No, I included the fr_FR.mo file in the includes folder. That file seems to have done most of the translating work. I tried to open that file in a text editor, but it came up all symbols.

I see there is a way to edit the .po language file. Should I be looking for that, and go that way?
