  • It means some tables in your database are corrupt. If you have phpMyAdmin you can log in to it and try to repair those tables. You can also contact your host and ask them if they can help you with that.

Don’t know of any other solutions other than to replace your database with a recent backup.

anyone? i am in big trouble here. any help is highly appreciated.

As much as I hate to say it, there’s really nothing else that anyone here can do. When the database tables are currupted the only optionss are to repair them (which you said didn’t work) or restore them from backups (which you said you didn’t do). I’d suggest that you contact your hosting company as most of them do keep backups just in case things like this happen. If they don’t have any back ups that aren’t corrupted, then you’re out of luck.

This should also serve as a very good reminder that everyone needs to do regular backups of the sites files and database. Problems do happen, and when they do you need something to fall back n.

    can reinstalling wordpress help?

i can try taking backup of posts/pages and themes and install or update wordpress.

No, that will not help. The WordPress files are only the files for the site, they do not contain any of your database files.

You really need to contact your hosting company. They are the only ones that can help you now.
