[resolved] Incorrect editing of General Settings (4 posts)

    In an unexperienced effort to upload my already developed WordPress blog from localhosting (XAMPP) to a remote hosting, I changed the WordPress address and Blog Address (in the General Settings page) from http://localhost/wordpress to http://example/wordpress. As a result, don't have access to my WordPress blog anymore, since when I try to access from http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/ I get redirected to http://example/wordpress/wp-admin etc...., where the database does not exist. How can I get out of this mess? Is there a php. or htaccess or MYD, MYI file I can modify to be able to access again?

    Consider using phpMyAdmin to make sure your wp_options table has the correct values in siteurl and home.

    siteurl is your WordPress address (URL) and home is your Blog Address (URL).

    And, some other info:

    Thank you very much. Your advice was spot-on, and I managed to get my site back :-)
