Incorrect destination URL

    Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this.

    I have a newly setup wordpress installation with my host. I then installed the Hero theme. Here’s my issue:

    Whenever I link text to a URL it adds MYWEBSITE.com/ in front of every link, redirecting the user to the an error page within my website.

    Example:
    I want the hyperlinked text to go to XYZ.COM
    But it shows the URL as MYWEBSITE.COM/XYZ.COM

    Even my Facebook “like” button shows the link as:
    http://mywebsite.com/www.facebook.com/username

    I’ve searched the forums and all I could come up with are people with problems directing the user to their main website, issues with WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL).

    These posts don’t seem to be the same problem as I have, so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!
