There is a known and documented issue with google maps gpx viewer as it does not work when the page content is created by an ajax action.
See: http://beta.opajaap.nl/gps-test-2/ if you click on an image: no, if you then refresh: yes!

Either present the slideshow directly by the shortcode, or disable ajax in Table IV-A1.

    Ok opajaap,

Thanx. I disables ajax in the table and things seem to work ok now. Is there a way to fix the problems caused by the ajax import? Or do I just have to live with it. I am very new in WordPress, I have just been working with it for a week now, so forgive the question if the answer seems too obvious…

Besides all this, thatx for the absolutely great plugin! I did use the donate button this morning 🙂

    Best regards, Peter

It is a limitation of Google-Maps-GPX-Viewer. I have spent more than a day to see if i could fix this, but gave it up. My experience with the support on that plugin is responsetimes of a month, so i am afraid that you will have to live with it for some time.

A issued an enhancement request to this:

    Thanx for the donation!

I have good news for you!

Version 5.2.7 – expected jan 3 2014 – will have a wppa+ built-in implementation of Google maps. This version will work with Ajax – of course…

It is much faster but has fewer configuration options.
You can have a preview here

You will still be able to choose between the two implementations.
