Hi,
the plugin doesn't take in account the possibility of having the admin menu on top of the screen and not sideways. So there is a conflict with "Ozh admin menu" and (also/maybe) "Adminimize" plugin.
The instructions appear above the menu.

Yes, but you have access to the stylesheet. The stylesheet provides *default* settings. if you are wanting to change the look/position of where it appears, then create a stylesheet in your theme folder, and put it where you want/make it look how you want it to look. (The readme file tells you how to do it.)
No, I don't "take into account other plugins" - there's *thousands*. There's no possible way I could check them all. But I *have* taken into account such possibilities - and provided a method of getting around stuff like this that other plugins put in.

Sidenote: You are correct, you cannot take in account the thousands of plugins that are out there. But since "Adminimize" has 128,943 downloads and "Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu" has 492,361 downloads it would be better to do some exceptions.
Again, it is a great plugin.
Actually, it's been tested with Adminimize. (I even recommended using it in earlier versions.) I know it works with that plugin as far as not creating conflicts go. The most recent version of Back End Instructions, however, removed the *need* for it with this plugin - by popular request.
As for Ozh's dropdown menu, it may be popular (as Ozh's stuff is, naturally) but not everyone uses it (In fact, this is the first time I've ever heard of it.) So again, I *did* take into account possibilities, and I did provide a method to work around them.
