Until yesterday, the Incoming Links section of our dashboard showed links from other sites that had new mentions of our blog in their posts. It did NOT show those blogs where we are listed on the blogroll along with lots of other sites. However, as of Nov 18 2008, the Incoming Links are showing all those pages where we are only mentioned on the blogroll. Consequently, the Incoming Links no longer shows us when new posts or stories are linked to us.
This happened all of the sudden yesterday - has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know how to set the Incoming Links to work as it did before?
We are using WP 2.3.3
@Remodelista,
Incoming links are shown based on google blogsearch using 'link:yourdomainh.com'. if blogsearch
(http://blogsearch.google.com/)
do not show any links you wont see any thing in your incomming link section.
incoming links may or may not show all links,it should not bother you much.

BlogsDNA - thanks for the response. Yes, I know where the incoming links are coming from but for some reason until yesterday, the incoming links were restricted to just new content on those other blogs - not our appearances on their blogrolls. Now we are seeing incoming links for both when we really only want to see the links that represent new posts or content that mention our blog.
Is there a way to restrict the BlogSearch to just returning results of our name mentioned in new Posts, and not in the static HTML like the blogroll?
