Including a single page in the Pages Widget
-
I noticed that in the Pages Widget there is an option to “Exclude” pages.
But I am looking for the opposite. I want an “include” option. In otherwords, I just want to include a single page and exclude everything else, in the pages widget.
Is this possible?

Try it with this widget: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flexi-pages-widget/
I was hoping I could do it in a simple statement in that text field but I guess not.
I also found this: http://www.question-defense.com/2009/04/09/modify-the-wordpress-pages-widget-to-include-pages-instead-of-exclude-pages
But that would be hacking the core, which is an obviously bad idea.
Yes that would be hacking the core, and that is a bad idea.

What is it you want to do?
I am just finding that text field very limited. I am not alone when I just want to include, rather than exclude. Flexi-Page is also not working for me because the contents of the page work different when running within a widget. I can take this off line if you want.

You mean the “Title” text field?
I’m still not sure what you want to do. Do you want to show the Page content?
I rather not bug the rest of the group, but I can show you off line.

You’re not bugging anybody, this is how forums work. Try the email in my profile page: http://wordpress.org/support/profile/keesiemeijer

That must be because I’m a moderator. I will send you an email if you’re ok with that?
