• How do I include other RSS/Atom feeds in my blog either as headline listings or excerpts or a combination of both?
Do I need to install additional software on my server and if so what would you reccomend?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Podz,
This is a pretty cool plug in , but unfortunately a little basic for my needs. I think what I’m after is a full blown aggregator that will allow me to manipulate multiple feeds and pull the results into my site. Can you suggest anything else?
    Thanks.

    1) Gathering multiple feeds and combining them so that, for example, ten different feeds are combined into one feed ordered by most recent.
    2) Displaying the title of that feed together with the first one hundred words or so, with a ‘more’ link at the end of those 100 hundred words which then open up that article in a seperate minimized window.
    3) Being able to display the above in specific categories within my blog e.g. newsfeeds in the news section only.
    4) Being able to aggregate my chosen feeds with my own content. E.g. in my news category, I want to be able to add my own stories which will integrate in time and date order, with the combined feed refrred to above # 1)
    5) Over and above that, It would be handy to be able to specify not just feeds but to search for multiple keywords within specified feeds, so that only posts likely to be relevant are displayed.
I’m convinced it’s possible to do this as some of the sites I’ve seen have to be doing at least #1-4 and probably #5 too. So if you or anyone else can tell me what plug ins/hacks/3rd party software I need, I’d be grateful.
    Thanks.

I don’t know of any that would combine and sort multiple feeds. With CG-Feedread you can pull multiple feeds and display only those feeds associated with certain categories (“if category news, then display Yahoo News feed, elseif category politics, then display Spinsanity feed”, etc.) but you wouln’t be able to combine the feeds nor intersperse them with your own posts by date. That would be some plugin I imagine.

Has any one used Rss-to Blog Software http://rsstoblog.com/
a little pricey, any feed back?

sec, it tastes like a marketing ripoff:
