Hi I have a page that relies heavily on posts from the listsings category. Is it possible to specify that these are the posts I would like to add automatically to a newsletter?

You’d like to insert a list of latest posts of a selected category in newsletters, isn’t it?
You can use some plugin hooks to add your placeholders. Inside plugin there is already a latest-posts placeholder, ready to be used:
