    Hi,
I am migrating my site to a new WP MultiSite install. The export/import did not do the images – so my host copied the images into the wp/includes manually.

Problem: My Media Library is empty in the new site.
I checked for the files, and they are in the correct place.

I am not tech savy at all, so please be simple and detailed if need be.

    Thank you

  • I think they should be in wp-content/uploads by default, not in wp-includes.

    Right! I miswrote that.

They are in the wp/uploads of my old site. The images in the new site link to the old site wp/uploads.

Also: my latest MultiSite install (the “new” site) has installed as
    NEW URL: http://toni-two.com/wp/wp-admin/

NOT like the old URL: http://toni-two.com/wp-admin/

    SORRY!

Let me start over – my images have been manually copied from one site to another.

They are present in the files wp-content/uploads, but they are not visible in the Media Library.

    Thank you

It won’t work like that, you need to upload them to the new site through media gallery. Just copying them to a new website is not enough.

Oh, rats! That will take forever.

Thank for for responding so quickly.
