I have a blog and a website. I've been working to shift the static website information to the blog so I could shut down the website. I had everything set up just the way I wanted it but . . .

Someone else had set the HOME button to link to the website. In the process of trying to change that, I have managed to lose access to the blog dashboard. Everything I click on goes to the site homepage.

When I enter the url for the blog, I find the blog - missing its template and with no option for editing this entry. My posts are there, but the links to pages all send me back to the site.

Shortly before all this happened, I had been modifying the Options-General page's url addresses. When I tried to take them back to the original blog url, and clicked Update, it took me back to the site homepage.

    Site is http://www.denacrain.com ; blog is http://denacrain.com/blog .

Can someone please tell me how to access my blog dashboard again, and how to change that Home button on the top to take readers back to the main blog page?

    Thanks in advance.

You'll have to follow the directions here.

    Thanks, Jeremy.

However, I cannot find my database on my server. I can find a database for another blog, and I can find some dumb earlier attempts I made at setting up databases (all empty, I now see).

Is there somebody out there who would be willing to take over all this technical side of running my blogs on a fee basis?

I'm finding all this time spent trying to be something I'm not is taking away from time I could be spending being me!

OK, really - thanks! I have now managed to find my blog and access my database again. Can heave a great sigh of relief and get on with business.

    Cheers!

However - I still have this "Home" button on my blog that directs to the website. How can I make that button link back to The Loop?
