In which country is the date of my back-up held?

    Hi,

    I use Online Backup for WordPress, and my data is stored in your secure vault. I was wondering in which country you store the data.

    I am currently checking my compliance with the UK Data Protection Act, that’s why I need to know.

    Sorry, not sure what this is.
    Is Online Backup for WordPress a plugin a service of some sort?
    Have you contacted them directly?

    Hi,

    Yes, it is a plug-in, but I think their website linked me straight to the Forum for questions. Was I wrong?

    Sorry, but with over 22,000 plugins in the repo, it’s hard for us to know what’s a plugin. Adding a link to your threads does help.
    I think I found it though. If this is the plugin you mean – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wponlinebackup/
    then I think that the backups are stored in a zip file and I’m guessing these are on your server. So whoever is your host is where your files will be.

    Christine, thank you so much, and my apologies for letting you track down the plug-in. I thought the exact name would be clear, and had no idea where the find a link. I will think about that next time.
