[resolved] In-line images? (11 posts)

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but when I try to add a small in-line image around which the text of a post will wrap, it looks fine in the editor, but publishes with the image in the center of the body column, splitting the text above it and below it.

I'm no WP pro, but I've tried multiple times to tweak it with the media editor -- choosing "align right," etc., and again, in the editor it seems to respond, but the published end-product is as described above. Any advice? I love this template. It's pure elegance.

    Cheers and bravo.

Do you have a link that I could take a look at? This seems to be working fine for me over here.

BTW - please let me know once you've had a look, as I'd like to delete the image until I learn how to make it work. Many thanks. -Tom

Ok, I realized that this is because the image has a caption and at the moment, captioned images do not float. I need to work on this.

I've identified and fixed this for the next version (2.7.7, since 2.7.6 was just approved). If you want a quick fix for the current version, I can get you one.

Thanks, Scott. A quick fix would be great if it's not a huge hassle. Otherwise I'm happy to wait for next version.

OK, it's really simple. Edit the style.css (don't worry about creating a child theme since this will be included in the next update :D. )
On line 356, you see .entry-content img.alignleft remove img so it reads
    .entry-content .alignleft.
Do this for lines 361 and 366 too.
    Save. That's all.
