I've got this thing up and partially working but It's assigning each post to Uncategorized rather than the one selected in the plug in settings. How can I go about fixing this issue? Also Images are being uploaded but NEVER displayed. I'm using this to post to a page rather than to the main blog roll.

Hi demoman2k10, as explained in the readme.txt:

    **Important**

NOTE that this plugin attaches uploaded images as custom fields to submitted posts. Attached images are not displayed automatically in posts, but rather may be displayed using template tags, either WP's built-in tags or the USP template tags (explained below). This provides maximum flexibility in terms of customizing the display of uploaded images.

For the categories, I just checked on a default install of WP and they seem to be working fine, perhaps something else is interfering..?

Not sure what's up... I did a DEFAULT install on my BITNAMI installation. Using the default server...

Hmm.. that is strange.. it could be that it doesn't work with Bitnami..?

So rolled site out to a HOSTED location. It's still selecting the DEFAULT WordPress category rather than the one selected in the settings. Sorry I'm really stuck here. We were trying to find a way to IMPLEMENT a simple classifieds.

Just tested again on several installations and the category setting seems to work fine. Are there any other plugins installed on your setup, and if so have you tried disabling them to see if it's a conflict with another plugin? One way of troubleshooting is to set up a default install of WP and then build up from there.
