I've implemented a Meta widget for the first time in one of my sidebars, and I put a title with "~"s on the ends (i.e. ~Log in or Register Here~) and didn't like the way it looked on my page. When I went back into the admin to change the title, I found that the widget no longer shows an edit link. I can't remove the widget or edit the title.
Anyone have any idea why this would happen and/or how to address the problem? I'm not sure what search criteria to use to find helpful forum posts; all my attempts result in posts on raw widget code editing.
