Improvement Idea - HTML Editor (4 posts)

When using the HTML editor it would be nice if there was an option to view it as most HTML editing programs, in a monospaced font, with color coding for different tags and having a clean-up button to organize the code would also be very helpful.

This small change would allow the world to view HTML as most developers and designers do, allowing them to actually understand the tags and elements. Over time this could help to shape the way that billions of people look at HTML worldwide.

I believe that if more of our world that understands this very fundamental language the faster we will grow as a society.

Most people do have the capacity to understand HTML, with the right tools at their disposal. It is unfortunate to think of how many shrug it off because they cannot see the way tags format in a real editor, and to them it looks like a mash of characters they cannot begin to understand.

I've never thought wordpress could use an improvement, and I do not feel that this type of improvement should be limited only to wordpress... It's about creating a culture, and that has to start somewhere.

  2. The monospaced font will be there in 3.2
