improve settings -> reading

    Hi,

    I’d like to see more options under settings -> reading.
    In addition to “Your latest posts” and static page, WordPress should detect any registered custom post types and add these to the options, so that I could select for example:
    “Your latest [custom post type]”

    Also, it may be useful to let the user set the front page to a particular post.

    I know it’s possible programmatically, but this could benefit the average user.
