   I've asked around for what seems like 2 years now and it seems that no one can figure this one out.

   I'm looking to create a WordPress.org plugin that will allow me to post about an upcoming event while also letting me select the event date in a calendar plugin that will post to an events calendar page.

   Ex:
   I post today that Van Halen is coming to town July 1.
   I select July 1 in my calendar (viewable in the add post screen.)
   I hit publish and the event appears on my events calendar on July 1.

   Is there any way to do this?
