I ran into a problem while importing posts back to a new wordpress 3.0.1 installation.
I am able to load the file and start importing, but during the process, I receive multiple (tens or hundreds) messages:
"post xxx already exists"
Does anyone ran into this problem or is there a quick solution for this?

Same here. As usual the importer is a mess. I can't get it to import attachments so I keep trying again after deleting the previously imported posts. I get a bunch of errors like this....
Post seim-senior-portraits-ephrata-wenatchee-yakima-11 already exists.
Posts still import, but no images. That already exists errors looks like an image even though an image is not a post. previous images have been deleted via ftp, but still I get the error. Very frustrating.
