Importing Users to WordPress

    I bought the premium version of this plugin because it said it would import users from Joomla to WP. I’ve been able to successfully import content but not the users. I see no option to import users and regardless of how many times I run the migration, it never imports the users. I’m hoping I’ve missed something because otherwise, this is a waste of money.

    I’ve successfully imported from Joomla 1.5.x to WordPress 3.4.2. I’ve not been able to import from Joomla 1.7.x even though all parameters are set correctly.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
    Please use the support email you received for a quicker support.

    For your problem, did you deactivate the free version and activate the Premium one?
    The Premium version should import all the users. No configuration is necessary. It should work from all versions of Joomla.
    Which error messages did you get?

    Yes, I deactivated the free version. I also installed the Premium one on a completely separate WordPress install (same WP version) and got the same results.

    I don’t get an error message, just no option to import users. The message I get shows the number of pages (or posts) and 0 users imported. I do not need to import media.

    It also won’t connect to a Joomla 1.7 database. Works with Joomla 1.5 fantastic, just not for 1.7. I get a database connection error when trying to connect to Joomla 1.7. I have double, triple and quadruple checked the settings. DB name, user name, password, host, etc are all correct. It is version 1.7.3, does that make a difference?

    I will send this information to the support email I got and provide details of the error and the steps I took to use the plugin.
