   I recently moved from wp.org to self-host.

   At wp.com I had around 250 subscriber, people who choose to receive a mail every time I wrote a new post.

   Which is the better way to handle them at the self-host?

   I guess I need a plugin, so which plugin would you suggest me?

   I think it has to be able to import those mail I exported to CVS from wp.com.

   And I would like people to be able to subscribe to the blog ticking the box at the bottom of every post.

   You either need to install a suitable plugin. Or you could look at setting up a Feedburner account, encourage users to sign up to your Feedburner feed and and let Feedburtner send out the mails. Not sure if FB supports a .csv import
