Importing new local files to existing site

    Hi, my boss at work asked me revamp his existing website using WordPress org. I have done so locally on my computer. If I export as an XML, will it export everything including the theme, the pictures uploaded, the pages, posts, plugins, etcetera so that on importing to his computer, it would look like what I have done on my computer? Also, will his current website files be overwritten? Then will exporting be a perfect backup plan for him? I hope this question isn’t too complicated. Sorry, and thanks!

    I think you need to back up the files as well as the mysql files from phpmyadmin.

    Then it will be termed as a complete backup and not just doing xml backup.
