Hi,
Ran into a bit of a problem.
This morning my WordPress site was hacked into. I removed all of my files, made a new database, and just re-installed WordPress. I have a WordPress post back-up file from when I was hacked 2 months ago so I tried importing it. Nothing is showing up and all my attachment uploads failed.
Is this common? Looking to get the site up soon and need to find a way to get all of my content back without using the old host database.
Any help appreciated.
Why don't you connect your new WordPress installation to the old database, then export those posts. Then create a new database, connect WordPress to that and import the posts. This way you'll definitely have the latest posts.
You can then run the Exploit Scanner plugin and other similar ones to see if the posts you imported was infected. In 90% of cases they won't.

Is there a way to do that despite no longer being able to log-in to my old WordPress user on my old database though? Or else I would just use my old database.
So you deleted your old hacked site database too? and your backup export file seems like it's corrupted? That's really tough luck.. but try asking your web host for backups. They may have one a few days old..

I have my old database, so does that mean I can still access user accounts? The person who hacked my blog changed/deleted all of the users in the WordPress backend so I cant export my posts from my Wordpess backend.
