I get this error, even though my XML file is not empty.
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
Can anyone suggest how I can solve this issue?
How big is the xml file? Have you checked your php.ini file?

The XML file is 60.4MB.
I'm using shared hosting so I don't have access to the php.ini file.

Oh good grief! I think that's definitely going to exceed the upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
Have you tried contacting your hosts? Perhaps they could raise the limit temporarily to allow you to carry out this import?

It is a big file alright!! Best get on to them and see what they can do! :)
