Importing from LiveJournal mangles HTML

Hi everyone, I used LJArchive to create an XML archive of my LiveJournal, which I imported into WordPress. What I found was that my hyperlinks are being displayed on the web page as raw HTML, and are not clickable. Some other tags are visible too. Apart from this, the 343 entries imported fine so I hope there’s a simple fix as I really like WordPress. TIA for any help.
