Importing custom fields requires post updates

    When uploading custom fields, they do not save to the database until each post is opened in the edit screen, where you can then click update. This then makes the custom fields populate correctly to the site.

    I have uploaded 1,000 items and will be doing more. To manually press update in each post is not feasible.

    Is there a solution to this?
