I have a free blog through WordPress.com and I am switching to a self-hosted WordPress installation on my own domain.

I Imported the xml file from my old blog, but only my post before Dec 18 2007 show up. There should be post all the way to May 31, 2010.

These are the steps I took...

    1. First, log into your old WordPress.com blog admin area and click on "Tools" –> "Export" and then click on "Download Export File."
    2. Next, log into your new, self-hosted WordPress blog, and click on "Tools" –> "Import". Click on browse and locate the file you just downloaded, and then click "Upload file and import."

    Can any one help?

Here is my old blog http://newblair.wordpress.com/

Are the missing posts in the export file? If not, try checking with wordpress.com support.

Personally, I have found the WordPress to WordPress export/import process to be a bit buggy, but others have used it successfully.
