I am working on a major redesign of a currently running blog. I want to import the current content so that I can work on it with the new design and functionality, but new posts are being added to the live blog daily. If I do another import later when the new site is ready to launch, will it duplicate the content, or skips posts that are already there?

I wish the exporting tool had more options such as, only certain categories, or certain timeframes, rather than just certain authors.
