[resolved] Import/Export problems (3 posts)

Hey all. I have a computer at home with Apache service, MYSQL, phpmyadmin and a good wordpress install.

I have followed instructions for exporting from phpmyadmin properly, saved the .SQL file to my desktop, and proceeded to import this file from my webhost's phpmyadmin. At this point, I can view the URL, blog works, and all formatting seems fine...from my computer.

Using a different pc, pointing to the URL, changes are reflected however WP has lost all of it's formatting and looks plain white BG and black text. I've also noticed that the links point to "localhost/wordpress etc.", regardless of where I access the site from which is another problem. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? How I could possibly get the formatting to display right and my links working from the domain instead of still thinking they're "local"?

I'm assuming the links aren't working because I exported from "localhost/phpmyadmin" (my home pc) so when I import online the .SQL file contains the wrong path. But the formatting thing has me stumped. Much obliged.

You can try in the admin panel Options > General to change the 2 URIs.
If it doesn't work, then you can change the "site_url" and "home" values in the "_options" table in the Database.
    See this tutorial: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/
