Importance "Save For Web" in Photoshop?

    Hi,

    My wordpresss site contains a few hundred images at the moment and in Photoshop I normally saved them out as jpegs.

    Only today I was recommended to use the Save For Web feature in Photoshop (quality moved to around 50-70%)

    If I resaved and reuploaded all my images, how much of a difference it make overall? Will it load the site load faster?
