I have a Blogger blog. I have just put up a WordPress blog at another site. I would like to move some of my Blogger posts, with their comments, to the WordPress blog, but not all. From what I’ve seen, the importing script imports everything from Blogger. Is there a hack for importing only selected posts?

I’ve actually started doing it by hand, copy and paste and all, which works fine for the posts, even though it’s a bit tedious. The problem is mainly that when I copy and paste a comment, I don’t see any way to edit its timestamp, so I end up with a February 2005 post with October comments. Is there a way to edit the timestamp of a comment?

  • Admin Panel -> Manage -> Comments -> find comment and select ‘edit’ -> at the bottom of the comment is the time stamp -> checkmark the edit timestamp option and set the date/time.

Depending on the number of posts, it may be easier to delete the unwanted posts from blogger than to add the ones you want.

    Thank you very much!

I’ve only been writing the Blogger blog since February of this year, and I think I have more posts I don’t want to move than posts I do want to move — and time is not a huge issue, so I’ll keep moving the posts by hand.
