   Hi,

   I started a new WordPress Blog and I wanted to import some posts from a previous installation. I exported every article there and got a .xml file. As I wanted to import this file now in my completely new 2.8 installation I chose "Import" in the menubar and I was asked to choose an importer. But I only get this message, nothing else.
   I found /wp-admin/import/wordpress.php, but executing this file only prints this PHP error:
   Fatal error: Call to undefined function: register_importer() in /../../wp-admin/import/wordpress.php on line 805

   I use the german version of WordPress but I think that doesn't matter. Any solution?

   Try re-uploading fresh copies of wp_includes and wp_admin.

   I found that entering the URL-field /wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress does what I expect. But thanks, maybe try it next time.
