   I've searched the forums and came up empty. Apologies if I missed this somewhere.

   Exported from wordpress.com blog an 11mb XML file. Broke the file into 23 separate XML files (keeping all necessary header info and /channel /rss footer info on each). I created a new author on the new wordpress.org blog with the same name as the exported author. When I import the first (or any) of the 23 XML files, it thinks on it, asks me to choose the author, and then gives me "All done. Have fun!" (which the admittedly, the cheeriness of it is getting annoying.)

   To clarify, after the "All done. Have fun!" message, there have been no new posts, categories, comments added.
