Import feeds, mix them, update with cron?

Do you know if there is a plug-in that allows me to import several feeds from different sources, to merge them and display them by date? And also to be able to update them via cron jobs, because using something like Magpie takes too long to refresh its cache.

It would be nice if the plugin can deal with feeds with different charset, such as windows-1251 for example.
