Import attachments without downloading

    Ok, so I have the files and the XML for a WordPress site, and I want to import the data for all attachments, but they don’t need to be downloaded (and can’t be). However, the data is completely valid with completely valid links.

    I have looked online for an XML to SQL converter, because that is essentially what I am wanting, but there isn’t an easy solution for me (especially for OS X). I want to bypass all WordPress validation checks, and just import the data. Is there a way to do this? Either through the WordPress interface or command line or something?
