This is a good plugin. It was quick to install, easy to set up, no hiccups, overall two thumbs up. But, being the opinionated developer I am, I want things on my site to be my way, and styling this plugin is not as simple as it could be, due (I believe) to one particular feature of its implementation.

I was trying to hide the minutes and seconds sections of the countdown, but whenever I tried to inspect them my inspector spasmed and they weren’t selected any more–I have a strong hunch this is because the spans themselves are regenerated every second (as opposed to just the contents of the spans). Not sure why this decision was made, and it’s probable it was made consciously, and for a good reason, but from where I’m standing it seems strange. Why not just set a class on each span, then select that span and update its contents?
