Is it a negative or spammy to ping through the individual sites and through aggregators like pinggoat or pingomatic? It seems that I would be double pinging a number of services.
Or maybe another way to ask... is it okay to simply cut-and-paste the entire list of ping found on the Update Services list.

Thats a great question - did you get replies from other forums on it ?
I was also thinking about adding additional pings urls to the "Writing Settings" page.
The standard set up just has "http://rpc.pingomatic.com/" listed.
I am new to blogging and have just started a site.
Did you add other urls from the codex ?
Is it helping your SEO ?
