ImagesTransfer and Draft Status…

    Thank for this really nice plugin – but i have problem transferring all articles from my Joomla site to my new wordpress site. When i want to transfer with images it stops transferring after 12 Categories.

    I get the following message:

    [fgj2wp] 12 Kategorien importiert

    If i deactivate the image transfer 13 Categories and 215 Posts are transferred.

    SafeMode is turned off and the exceution time and the memory are set to a high level.

    An now my second problem is that many of the transferred posts are marked with the draft status. But i selected to import archived posts as published posts. When i publish this posts in WordPress the wrong date and time is selected (now) and so the order of the posts is not right.

    Many thanks for giving me instructions to solve this problem.

    The link to the Joomla based Site is FF Hinterstoder – The wordpress site is on the same server in an other folder…

    I have tried to import your database on my localhost. I got:
    [fgj2wp] 12 categories imported
    [fgj2wp] 215 posts imported
    [fgj2wp] 263 medias imported
    So it seems that everything has been imported.

    What values did you put for memory_limit, WP_MEMORY_LIMIT and WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT? Can you increase them to 1G, 512M and 512M respectively?
    If the import is not complete, it generally comes from the memory of the server. But you can rerun the import and it continues where it stopped.

    For the posts imported as drafts, I have found the problem. It comes from the status number 2 on Joomla 2.5+. It will be fixed in the next release.

    Hi Frederic,
    The Memory Limit of the Server is 44M. I defined the following Settings in the wp-config.php

    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’44M’);
    define(‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’44M’);

    I tried a rerun but number of Posts remains at 64 and the number of media remains at 130

    I think I should contact the Provider?

    I tried also tried the Import at my localhost – it worked perfect. Thanks a lot for your help!!

    When do you think you will release the next fix of the plugin?

    The issue with the Joomla 2.5 archived posts imported as drafts is fixed in the release 1.22.5.

    Hi,
    I had a similar problem: it imports all the k2 categories, but only 30 K2-items of about 1000.

    I solved skipping media files, maybe some images were too big or invalid?
