[resolved] Images wrong path (10 posts)

    Hi there, installed the plugin and worked really nice have to say, however, I choose not to import the images because I just need to test a few things later, but the image registered in the post, the path, is wrong it is like:

    http://domain.com/post-name/images/stories/mercado/image.jpg

    So I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix this? Maybe doing some kind of search and replace but the thing is I don't know what to search, any idea guys? other than that the plugin works just great!

    If you don't import the images, the images links are not changed during the import.
    In Joomla the links are like this: «src="images/stories/fruit/strawberry.jpg"». These are relative links, so in WordPress these relative links are pointing to http://domain.com/post-name/images/stories/fruit/strawberry.jpg

    If you want to change them, you need to search and replace your WordPress content. The plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/ can do it.

    Hi Kerfred thanks a lot for the help, one question, what should I search and replace? I mean if I have a post like this:

    http://domain.com/1254/

    I know that the images there should be like:

    http://domain.com/1254/images/stories/fruit/strawberry.jpg

    So what should I search in my database change all those wrong paths?

    Replace:
    "images/stories
    by
    "http://domain.com/1254/images/stories
    Don't forget the double quote.

    Hi Kerfred thanks!

    the thing is, I have 1062 posts, so I need to go and change each one at the time, I was looking for something more direct that helps me to change everything in some kind of a batch or similar.

    I don't think the images are located in a directory containing the post name.
    So you can do a global replace from:
    "images/stories
    to
    "http://domain.com/images/stories

    Sorry man but I still don't get it, see, one example is like this:

    http://domain.com/article-501/images/stories/mercado/Julio_2013/image.jpg

    and another like

    http://domain.com/article-501/images/stories/mercado/Feb_2013/image-2.jpg

    I have different values after /images/stories/mercado/ like dates and even filenames, and before that I have different articles names, so I'm not sure how to do this using a global search and replace.

    Sorry....

    Can you give me real URLs so that I could understand?
    If you don't want them to be public, you can write to me through http://www.fredericgilles.net/contact/

    After having a look at your site, the solution is to replace:
    src="images/stories
    by:
    src="http://www.domain.com/images/stories

    Or if you moved all the images manually to your WordPress site in the /images/stories directory, you can do this replace:
    src="images/stories
    by:
    src="/images/stories
