When I use either the default uploader in flash mode or the fast file uploader, I get this error:
The uploaded file could not be moved to D:\Mcgiver-2\wp-rants/wp-content/uploads/2009/06
Notice the mixed / and \ in the path.
Here are some settings:
Wordpress address: http://98.221.161.77:1226/wordpress-corobri
blog address: http://98.221.161.77:1226/wordpress-corobri
upload files store to this folder: wp-content/uploads
full url to path: [Blank}
Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders: checked
a test blog has the same settings and seems to work fine.
What the hell did I screw up?
Thanks
Another PEBCAK (problem exists between chair and keyboard)
I forgot to make the directory writable. Once I did that, all is well.
Odd error message tho - I would have expected a :cannot write to folder" message or "folder read only" or something comprehended by mere mortals <G>
OK - I was wrong. Once I made the folders writable, it seemed to work for a while.
Today, when I try to upload, the image uploads correctly, except it never appears in the media list. I can see the file on the server into correct folder, but it never appears in the list when I click on the media tab in dashboard.
Anyone have a clue?
PhillM, it is a well known problem now - you actually have to start writing something before uploading images (to trigger autosave)
In otherwords the gallery is not creatrd without an actual post - so you just start posting and then upload - this seems to work for now
That is so weird - but you're right. When I type something in the body of post, everything works fine!
Thanks!
Phill
