[resolved] Images Uploading but Not Displaying (9 posts)

Weirdly, the site we're building just stopped supporting images in the past 8 hours.

I am able to upload images without a problem, and once it does it comes up with the image options, but when you go to actually use an image in a post it is set for Full Size (0 × 0).

When you grab the actual URL, like this: http://www.stoptheroundabout.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/wordpressMediaManager.jpg (a picture of what I'm describing above) nothing shows up, even though the actual image appears just fine on my desktop.

This is a new issue that just started today - we've already uploaded 350+ images that are working fine. I've already checked - we haven't changed or modified any site architecture at all, it's just randomly decided to stop displaying new images.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks -

    Sue

Is it possible that you've exceeded your allocated disk space in your hosting account?

Thanks Esmi, but I've checked and I'm not over my allocated disk space.

    I appreciate the idea, though!

    Thanks -

I received a FATAL error message and this was the result. the 0x0 size indicated the size limit was reached and it did not create the necessary thumbnails and sized required for WP. I am no expert, but I researched the prob and this solution worked for me:
resize your images to 200 dpi (not changing dimensions) and use ImageMagik plug in.

Oh, i actually found the images within the file structure of my site - but WP just never created the other file sizes...

@snowprophoto: It is considered extremely impolite to interrupt another poster's thread. Please post your own topic.

    Esmi,

That was helpful, thank you! The culprit was mod_security; a quick visit to .htaccess fixed the problem.

    Many, many thanks!
